About
The St Paul Arts District is a thriving community located in, and around, downtown St Paul Minnesota. Blackheart Studio has been involved in the Twin Cities Photography community since 2004, and as a Twin Cities Photo rental studio since 2015. Currently we are in the originally the Farewell, Ozmun, Kirk co building, ( Formally the ACVR building) completed in 1900. The Studio is located on the 4th floor of this historical building. We are involved in the Saint Paul Art Crawl twice a year in the spring and fall.
Blackheart Studio embraces this setting. As a Minnesota photography rental studio, we are driven to provide to the community as a multi-faceted art center as well as rental photography studio. The Studio has full time photographers and artists of many different genres as well as other who use the facility on a regular basis. Our Studio is perfect for Art Photography, Music videos, Boudoir Photography, Natural light Photography and most any style of work you can think of.
The studio is set up to be moldable to all artists and event planners who want the space to fit to their needs.
At Blackheart Studio our goals are to not only provide an exceptional space where artists can create, but to engage the community in supporting the arts by working. We are more than just a twin cities photography rental studio.

LEGAL
All clients booking at Blackheart Studio are highly encouraged to carry individual or company liability insurance. However, in the event of an unfortunate, or accidental event, the clients of Blackheart Studio agrees to indemnify and hold tenant harmless and agrees not to sue tenant and or his employees/agents/representative for any loss (including but not limited to death, injury or damage to equipment or belongings, damage to reputation or business or earning potential) arising from services provided under this agreement, whatever the cause, including negligence of tenant. This agreement also applies to ACVR building or its owners and employees.
In the event of of an unfortunate event or accident that results in damage to the facility or to its content the renter will be held responsible for its repair or replacement. Payment info will be held on file in case of such event.
Blackheart Studio holds sole rights to assess and enforce any damage charges. We are hoping this will never happen. But just in case this is here.
SESSION TIME POLICY
For respect to other clients needs we must enforce a on-time policy. The time of your booked session is the starting and ending time. No additional time will be granted unless there are no other bookings before or after your session. If this is the case then an additional charged hour will be accessed after fifteen (15) minutes of elapsed time has occurred. A 15 min window post of your shoot has been added to give time for loading and unloading.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Blackheart Studio retains the sole right and discretion to approve or deny any refunds for any reason.
Photoshoots
All deposits are non-refundable. All cancellations within 48 hours will be charged the full amount of the rental unless the time slot reserved is booked with an equitable session. If this occurs then the deposit is forfeited but the remaining rental fee will not be applied.
Any rental cancellations occurring before 48 hours prior to scheduled rental times will be allowed one transfer or reschedule with no additional penalty. Rescheduled photoshoots are not given priority status.
PRIVACY
Blackheart Studio takes privacy as a top priority. Clients personal data will never be shared, sold, or otherwise used for outside marketing. Blackheart studio will collect data of clients for email promotions of specials and coming events. No financial information will ever be shared. We also respect content created at Blackheart Studio and its facility. Media use is discussed in the media policies below.
MEDIA POLICIES
Blackheart Studio holds the right to use media produced in its studio to use as self promotion. Proper credits of the content created will be used. If the client wishes the produced media not to be used they are required to notify the studio representative.
CLIENT CONDUCT
Blackheart Studio is a professional studio. We expect our clients to maintain the same high standards while they are at Blackheart Studio. No Illegal activities will be tolerated or accepted at the studio or in the ACVR building which it is located. Any conduct that is deemed unacceptable or illegal by any Blackheart Studio representative, will result in removal from the premises and law enforcement called if necessary. Also, any and all fees paid or due will be forfeit. NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED INSIDE ANYY PART OF THE BUILDING. Any persons violating this policy will be asked to leave the premisses and banned from further rentals.

Blackheart Studio believes the Greater Minnesota area and Twin Cities community is the foundation of who we are. The community supports us, and we strive to support the community in anyway we can. Whether it be through keeping our prices at reasonable rate, offering affordable education classes, promoting local designers, Hosting Art shows or working with community based programs to offer education to those who otherwise wouldn’t have access, we will always be involved with and in our communities.
Education
At Blackheart Studio education is important to us. We believe that teaching is the way to empower a community.
